Job Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle pre-trip inspections training
- Teach basic control skills, including backing into designed areas
- Instruct on uncoupling and coupling tractor/trailer units
- Train students on basic shifting techniques, including double clutching
- Guide students to safely operate commercial vehicles on rural and city roadways
- Prepare and maintain student records including training activities, test results, and performance evaluations
- Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Instructor or School Director
Job Requirements
- Valid FL license Class A CDL with a minimum of 2 years of commercial motor vehicle driving experience
- Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one
- Clean driving history and ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- Effective English communication skills
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to endure Florida’s hot summer temperatures while standing outdoors for long periods
- Willingness to work weekends as needed, since FleetForce operates 7 days per week
