About the role
AutoZone’s store teams are the frontline of WOW! customer service, ensuring that customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. As a Delivery Driver, you’ll put your safe driving skills to work, delivering automotive parts to commercial customers and DIY shoppers. You’ll use company-provided vehicles (no Commercial Driver’s License required) and enjoy career stability with endless growth opportunities in an essential industry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service by engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice, and offering installation services.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to ensure safe and timely deliveries of automotive parts to commercial customers; load and unload parts accurately per route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Adhere to PPE (Personal Prote Equipment) guidelines and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe driving and working environment.
- Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems; maintain delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly.
- Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to ensure smooth team collaboration and strong customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations, meeting time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license and adherence to AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
Qualifications
You’ll go the extra mile if you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement (a plus for handling regulated materials).
