About the role
AutoZone’s store teams are the frontline of WOW! customer service, ensuring that customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. As a Delivery Driver, you’ll put your safe driving skills to work, using company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers. You’ll also collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or vendors, process customer payments, and maintain delivery vehicles. This role offers career stability and growth opportunities in an essential industry, with no Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver WOW! Customer Service by engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
- Drive company-provided vehicles to ensure safe and timely deliveries of automotive parts to commercial customers; load and unload parts accurately per route schedules.
- Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
- Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe driving and working environment.
- Maintain delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly.
- Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems.
- Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to ensure smooth team collaboration and strong customer relationships.
- Maintain efficient delivery operations, meeting time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and adhere to AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Full-time flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English (preferred).
- Previous experience in automotive retail (preferred).
- A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement is a plus.
