This co-op position within the Digital & Commercial Innovation organization focuses on developing machine learning and generative AI solutions for commercial and healthcare analytics.
Responsibilities
- Support development of machine learning and AI solutions to enhance customer engagement and commercial decision-making.
- Analyze commercial, e-commerce, and healthcare datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Assist with the development and evaluation of predictive models, generative AI applications, and retrieval-augmented generation solutions.
- Support the expansion of AI-enabled procedure code labeling capabilities, including specialty-specific prompt development, testing, and documentation.
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and analytical tools to translate data into business recommendations.
- Evaluate model performance, data quality, and analytical integrity across data science solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate business challenges into analytical solutions.
- Develop technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
Education: Undergraduates (Senior), Master's, or PhD candidates in:
- Data Science
- Computer Science
- Artificial Intelligence
- Statistics
- Analytics
- Mathematics
- Engineering or Software Engineering
- Information Systems or Business Analytics
- Biomedical Informatics
- Health Data Science
- Other related quantitative disciplines
Required Skills
- Python programming experience

Mentorship & Support
The co-op will receive direct mentorship from Digital Innovation team members and gain hands-on experience delivering solutions used by real business stakeholders. Opportunities to contribute to multiple automation and AI initiatives while developing technical and professional skills are available.
Additional Information
This position has allocated resources for relocation support. Candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $23.50/hr to $52.50/hr, based on the candidate's program year, discipline, degree, and/or experience.
