WSFS Bank is currently seeking a Commercial and Industrial (C&I) focused Senior Credit Officer. This role is responsible for ensuring that C&I loan underwriting is thorough, well-supported and of the highest quality.
Responsibilities
- Independently make credit approval and denial decisions within delegated authority and effectively communicate decisions with supporting rationale to Line of Business partners, Loan Review, and regulators.
- Serve as a thought leader in credit policy, credit culture, and strategic plan execution.
- Assist in structuring complex credit transactions, ensuring accurate risk ratings, identifying and mitigating policy exceptions, and providing guidance on the Bank's most complex credit relationships.
- Recommend enhancements to underwriting processes, tools, and credit policies.
- Work closely with Line of Business leadership to maintain a strong portfolio management framework through effective oversight of problem loan reviews, covenant compliance, and annual review processes.
- Support the development of Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Analysts through coaching, mentoring, and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another business-related field is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of C&I focused credit analysis, lending, or loan review experience is required.
- Prior experience coaching, mentoring and training others is preferred.
- Must be able to understand creative loan structures and innovative products.
- Must have the ability to thoroughly interpret financial data and use sound business judgment with knowledge of commercial loan structuring.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present important and complex information in a concise and understandable style.

Pay
Salary Range: $111,440.00 - $183,082.25 Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
