Commercial Counsel
About the role
As Commercial Counsel you will be a part of the Essential Home North American Legal team, reporting directly to the Legal Director, Essential Home North America. Reckitt is seeking an attorney with experience with advertising law, commercial contracts, and dispute resolution and will generally work on other legal matters as needed. Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise various types of contracts, including supply agreements, service agreements, and vendor contracts. Prepare and update library of contract templates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct legal research related to contract law and other relevant topics.
- Advise on advertising law related to our brand communication.
- Provide guidance and assistance in respect of dispute resolution and where needed litigation.
Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited law school required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a major corporation from a relevant industry or leading law firm.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law principles and experience drafting and negotiating a range of contract types.
- Knowledge of advertising law.
- Experience of dispute resolution and litigation.
- The ability to interface effectively with internal senior management.
- The ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- A clear and effective communicator with a commitment to responsiveness and problem-solving.
- A strong desire to learn the business and function smoothly as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Pay
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $163,000 - $204,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
