For our client, a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space, we are seeking a Commercial Counsel to provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management.
About the role
You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a manufacturing environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Draft and manage various commercial agreements including supply and sales agreements and SOWs
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide legal guidance on contracts and compliance
- Identify and mitigate legal risks in proposed transactions while aligning with business goals
- Support negotiation processes balancing legal, operational, and customer needs
- Enhance contract process efficiency by improving templates and guidelines
- Oversee the optimization of the company’s contract lifecycle management system
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the semiconductor industry
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial law, preferably in technology or manufacturing sectors
- In-house legal experience supporting technology or semiconductor organizations is preferred
- Familiarity with contracting in the semiconductor industry, including supply chain and procurement agreements
- Experience with intellectual property licensing, software licensing, and technology transfer matters
- Proficiency in contract lifecycle management platforms, specifically Ironclad
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a focus on driving process improvements
- Bachelor's degree, or advanced degrees such as a Master’s or PhD without experience, is required
Pay
$132,400 – $173,775 annually
