About the role
We are seeking a Commercial Counsel to join our legal team. This position will provide legal advice and support to our commercial operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance and support to commercial teams on contractual matters, including drafting, negotiation, and review of agreements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to commercial transactions.
- Participate in due diligence processes for potential business partners and acquisitions.
- Handle litigation and disputes related to commercial contracts and agreements.
- Support compliance efforts related to commercial activities.
Requirements
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate or commercial law setting.
- Experience with contract law and commercial transactions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with AI tools and their integration into legal workflows.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations impacting commercial transactions.
Skills
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with contract management software.
