Responsibilities
- Drive complex deals for high-stakes, non-standard enterprise SaaS and services agreements across the U.S. and Europe.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Contracts to co-create a modernized clause library, negotiation guidelines, and customized templates.
- Leverage AI-based contract review tools to flag contractual risks, accelerate deal velocity, and continuously improve the model's performance.
- Serve as a trusted cross-functional advisor, collaborating with sales leadership, project teams, and InfoSec to resolve deal blockers and translate legal risks into actionable business choices.
- Oversee critical risk functions such as data privacy compliance alignment, state/federal due diligence, and managing the annual renewal of corporate insurance policies.
Requirements
- B2B SaaS or Enterprise Tech Scale Experience: At least 5 years of experience handling technology contracts at a law firm, or driving sales-side legal operations for a high-growth B2B SaaS or enterprise software company.
- Heavyweight Enterprise Sophistication: Deep, current knowledge of information security, data privacy, and intellectual property requirements demanded by Fortune 500 companies, multinational European brands, and major US financial institutions.
- Public Sector & Education Fluent: Substantive expertise navigating state, local government, and higher education procurement statutes.
- Systems & AI Forward: Experience working with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, Salesforce, and a strong desire to utilize and optimize AI-powered contract review models.
Qualifications
- A documented legal background (J.D. or legal training) with experience serving as a second-level reviewer, approver, and escalation point for complex, high-risk agreements.
Skills
