Commercial Construction Project Manager – Florida (Melbourne & St. Petersburg)

About the role

Provide overall field management, oversight, and administration to ensure budget and schedule are met while delivering a quality project.

Project Planning & Organization

• Establish project logistics and team goals.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
• Conduct project and coordination meetings.
• Construct project schedule and set milestones.
• Manage and develop staff.

Job Processes

• Complete job processes such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications.
• Affirm proper document control filing, updating, and distribution.
• Perform project scheduling updates.
• Affirm project quality control.
• Affirm timely delivery of materials to site.
• Issue subcontractor contracts and purchase orders.
• Approve pay applications.
• Manage the closeout process.
• Affirm fair treatment of subcontractors.
• Handle project buy-out and scope development through subcontract awards.
• Negotiate subcontract change orders.
• Input and manage project budget.
• Affirm required documentation is filed, including insurance certificates.
• Perform monthly cost reporting and exposure analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in construction.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in building science, Construction Management, or Engineering discipline.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Client relationship skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
