About The Role
The Project Manager provides consulting services to the Charlotte, NC market client accounts to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives. The Project Manager will partner with CBRE brokers to offer clients commercial real estate solutions. This job is part of the Project Management function and responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion. Projects include fit-outs/ build-outs and renovations for retail, life science, industrial, and corporate office clients in the Charlotte market and local area. Role requires an onsite presence in Charlotte and approximately 20% local travel to job sites.
What You’ll Do
- Manage all areas of project management for real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
- Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the projects includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.
- Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
- Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
- Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
- Direct the project team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
- Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.
- Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
- Apply knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish sophisticated assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of own job subject area and broad understanding of several job fields within the function.

What You’ll Need
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MS Project. Bluebeam experience is beneficial.
- Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive approach.
- Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
