About the role

We are seeking a well-organized and detail-oriented Commercial Foreman to lead our on-site crews in the successful execution of framing and drywall construction projects. The Foreman will supervise job site activities, ensure timely and proper completion of tasks, and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and immediately address any safety hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Direct and supervise the activities of on-site crew members and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and correctly.
  • Maintain construction schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and according to project requirements.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and employees through clear communication and professional interactions.
  • Maintain detailed written and photographic documentation of daily work completed, safety issues, and any damages caused by other trades.
  • Ensure all job reports and necessary documents are completed and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring proper understanding and execution of project plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Foreman in the construction industry, with specific experience in metal framing, drywall, FRP work, finishing work, acoustical ceilings, and doors and frames (interiors and exteriors).
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing crews and working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially when interacting with client representatives and project teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.
  • Familiarity with software such as Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and PDF tools.
  • Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel and work out of territory as needed.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
