About the role
DonahueFavret Contractors, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Construction Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full estimating process for assigned projects — conceptual through final bid
- Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, bid summaries, and bid submissions
- Cook up bid day logistics
- Prepare budgets for negotiated work and design-build projects
- Analyze post-bid results and support project turnover to operations
- Maintain and update the estimating database
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
- 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
- Strong understanding of unit costs, market trends, and cost drivers
Skills & Tools
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, On-Screen Takeoff, and ICE
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail
- Effective at building relationships with subcontractors and team members
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
