Kelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many states across the United States. We offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of commercial construction including: restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast food chains, large design-build expansions, general office renovation, liquid storage and containment, petroleum related construction, pre-engineered metal buildings, and concrete construction.
Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry work typical to commercial and industrial construction related to building additions, remodels, and cabinets
- Build and patch roofs
- Install floor and wall coverings, ceiling material, paneling, plastic laminates, and hardware
- Hang and finish drywall and finish walls with wood or structural metal
- Repair or replace railings, handrails, and stair treads
- Build platforms, partitions, ramps, and fences
- Read plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Excavate, build, and strip forms; tie rebar; pour and finish concrete
- Install insulation and weather stripping
- Maintain and repair machinery, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade
- Clean respective work areas
- Serve as backup in the areas of paint, stain, and restore items as required
- Train others in carpentry work
- Assist other maintenance and crafts staff performing their duties
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1–3 years of performing rough and finish carpentry
- Ability to perform new and remodel concrete and wood construction
- Experience using and maintaining tools and equipment associated with carpentry work
- Commitment to following safety practices on job sites
- Ability to estimate time and materials needed for carpentry-related jobs
- Ability to visualize, sketch, and design wood projects
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Flexibility to travel away from home for several days at a time
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and carry up to 90 lbs
- Must be able to climb and work from heights
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- Ability to work around wood dust and fumes

Pay
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
