Kelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many states across the United States. We offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of commercial construction including: restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast food chains, large design-build expansions, general office renovation, liquid storage and containment, petroleum related construction, pre-engineered metal buildings, and concrete construction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry work typical to commercial and industrial construction related to building additions, remodels, and cabinets
  • Build and patch roofs
  • Install floor and wall coverings, ceiling material, paneling, plastic laminates, and hardware
  • Hang and finish drywall and finish walls with wood or structural metal
  • Repair or replace railings, handrails, and stair treads
  • Build platforms, partitions, ramps, and fences
  • Read plans, blueprints, and specifications
  • Excavate, build, and strip forms; tie rebar; pour and finish concrete
  • Install insulation and weather stripping
  • Maintain and repair machinery, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade
  • Clean respective work areas
  • Serve as backup in the areas of paint, stain, and restore items as required
  • Train others in carpentry work
  • Assist other maintenance and crafts staff performing their duties
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of performing rough and finish carpentry
  • Ability to perform new and remodel concrete and wood construction
  • Experience using and maintaining tools and equipment associated with carpentry work
  • Commitment to following safety practices on job sites
  • Ability to estimate time and materials needed for carpentry-related jobs
  • Ability to visualize, sketch, and design wood projects
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Flexibility to travel away from home for several days at a time

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 90 lbs
  • Must be able to climb and work from heights
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to work around wood dust and fumes

Pay

$19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Full-Time position
  • 1st Shift
  • Occasional travel required

This job reports to the Superintendent.
