About the role
We're looking for a motivated accounting student to join our Finance & Accounting team as an intern.
Responsibilities
- Aid with monthly financial close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entry support
- Support Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedule preparation and analysis under the percentage-of-completion method
- Help track and reconcile subcontractor change orders and owner change orders (COs) across active projects
- Absorb accounts payable review, vendor documentation, and expense coding accuracy
- Support ad hoc financial reporting and data analysis using Sage Intacct and Procore
- Learn how construction financial data flows from the field (Procore) into the general ledger (Sage Intacct) and payroll/HR system (UKG)
- Engage in special projects, including process improvement and reporting automation initiatives
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Sophomore standing or above preferred)
- Strong Excel skills; comfort working with data and numbers in detail
- Interest in construction, real estate, or project-based accounting a plus, but not required
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to ask questions
- Ability to work on-site in Melbourne, FL
