Commercial Concrete Project Assistant

Reports to: General Superintendent and Project Manager. Hourly pay: $24–$25.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data privacy and employee confidentiality per Federal laws and contractual obligations.
  • Complete computer-based certification trainings (base requirement).
  • Schedule GC SSHO site trainings if applicable.
  • Update and submit EAL and DBIDS if applicable.
  • Maintain personnel files, including:
    • 90-day review notifications to management
    • Disciplinary forms
    • Vacation request forms
    • Evaluations
    • PERKS program documentation
  • Time tracking:
    • Input employee time into time-tracking software if applicable.
    • Verify information provided by Foreman/Superintendent.
    • Review for inaccuracies and contact employees regarding pay discrepancies.
    • Manage per diem assignments.
    • Submit staffing agencies’ timecards (format dependent upon staffing agency).
  • Take meeting notes and create reports for tracking purposes.
  • Fleet maintenance, documentation, and scheduling:
    • Maintain up-to-date vehicle/equipment logs.
    • Track and file monthly vehicle checklists (provided by Foreman/Superintendent).
    • Coordinate equipment maintenance and scheduling with mechanic.
  • Housing (if applicable): Find and set up affordable housing for crews.
  • Assist in project closeout documents.
  • Use project management and scheduling software consistently and accurately.
  • Promote safe and productive practices to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Represent Innovative Concrete, LLC professionally to clients and build trusting relationships.
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship that meets or exceeds company standards.

Requirements

  • Honest with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email), video conferencing; Bluebeam and Procore are a plus.
  • Leadership qualities and self-motivation.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of payroll processes and US labor laws.
  • Service-oriented with strong communication, interpersonal, and research skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Pro & Bluebeam.
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills (preferred).
  • Ability to pass a Federal background check to gain access to military bases if needed.
  • Must display exemplary professionalism in interactions with others.
  • Willing and able to work in adverse weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Technology-savvy with the ability to learn and integrate new software into workflow.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and qualify to drive under company vehicle policy.
