Commercial Cleaner - Part Time (Night) [s]

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a Commercial Cleaner to maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas of assigned buildings.

About the role

You will perform basic cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping, trash disposal, and restocking supplies to ensure assigned areas remain clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to designated high-traffic areas as directed by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture as needed.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and securely at all times.
• Follow standardized cleaning processes and procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Adhere to basic work routines and standards while solving straightforward problems with limited discretion.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience; experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a similar field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus but not required.

Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions

Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals.

Pay

Hourly pay for this position is estimated at $17.00.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
