About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Business Development Representative to identify and pursue new business opportunities, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth. This role involves working with a leading national distributor of residential and light commercial HVAC products, parts, and supplies, primarily serving licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting
    • Research and identify potential clients and market opportunities
    • Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies using multiple channels (email, phone, social media, networking)
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads
  • Sales Development
    • Conduct product/service demonstrations and presentations to prospects
    • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals and pricing information
    • Respond promptly to inquiries and follow up systematically
  • Relationship Building
    • Establish and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients
    • Maintain professional communication throughout the sales cycle
    • Act as a brand ambassador and gather market feedback
  • Account Management
    • Coordinate with sales and account teams to ensure smooth client onboarding
    • Track all business development activities and maintain accurate records in CRM
    • Contribute to achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Market Intelligence
    • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape
    • Provide insights to inform company strategy and positioning
    • Participate in industry events and networking opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of sales development, business development, or relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and meet targets
