Commercial Brick/Block Laborer
About the Role
Lang Masonry Contractors is seeking construction Laborers for year‑round commercial masonry work throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, and surrounding states. In this role you’ll help keep projects moving by making sure masons have the materials they need such as block/brick, mortar, wire, and control joint so work stays efficient and on schedule. Responsibilities
- Mix mortar and grout manually or using machines according to standard formulas.
- Erect scaffolding.
- Cut materials to specified sizes for installation using power saws.
- Modify material‑moving, mixing, grouting, grinding, polishing, or cleaning procedures according to installation or material requirements.
- Assist in the preparation, installation, and repair of block/brick or stone surfaces.
- Locate and supply materials to masons for installation, following numbered sequences.
- Arrange or store materials, machines, tools, or equipment.
- Clean installation surfaces, equipment, tools, work sites, or storage areas.
- Move or position materials such as marble slabs, hoists, or dollies.
- Remove excess grout or residue from block/brick joints using sponges or trowels.
- Remove damaged block/brick or mortar and clean or prepare surfaces using pliers, hammers, chisels, drills, or wire brushes.
- Be proactive in asking for help and/or what to do next.
- Perform other assigned duties.

- Willingness to work hard in a fast‑paced job‑site environment.
- Reliable and team‑oriented.
- Ability to follow instructions and stay proactive.
- Construction or masonry experience is a plus, but not required.
