About the role

The C & I Commercial Relationship Manager III serves as a trusted business advisor to clients, providing a full breadth of banking solutions to meet their financial objectives and needs. This role involves establishing a network of referral sources and Centers of Influence through regular calling efforts to generate new business opportunities. The manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of relationships, ensuring exceptional client experiences while managing risk, credit quality, and servicing in accordance with Northwest standards, in partnership with a portfolio management team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand existing commercial banking relationships.
  • Prospect actively and successfully bring in new relationships to Northwest.
  • Engage with product partners regularly to discuss cross-selling opportunities and referrals to deepen client relationships.
  • Achieve and exceed budget goals as assigned individually and by region.
  • Actively participate in community and professional networking events.
  • Develop meaningful “Centers of Influence” relationships.
  • Establish and maintain an ongoing prospect list, and a calling and meeting schedule for prospects, existing clients, and COIs.
  • Encourage existing clients to provide ongoing referrals for all types of products and services.
  • Manage a commercial loan portfolio of both credit and noncredit clients.
  • Make loan presentations and recommendations to Credit, team leaders, and senior line of business managers as required.
  • Partner with credit and portfolio management to ensure annual reviews and line of credit renewals are completed on time.
  • Ensure noncredit clients have appropriate treasury management and other related commercial services, and risk ratings are appropriate.
  • Collect on delinquent accounts as required.
  • Analyze financial statements and related credit material to stay apprised of client performance and assess risk continuously in conjunction with Portfolio Management.
  • Complete loan closings in partnership with Portfolio Management.
  • Ensure all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, etc., in partnership with Portfolio Management.
  • Participate in continued sales, product, and credit training.
  • Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations.
  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and department-specific software to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency.
  • Work as part of a team and with on-site equipment.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Abide by the rules of the safety and loss prevention program.
  • Perform work tasks in a safe manner.
  • Report any and all injuries to supervisor.
  • Know what to do in case of an emergency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing preferred.
  • 6 - 8 years of account relationship management experience preferred.
  • 6 - 8 years of experience consistently delivering strong sales performance preferred.
