Accountabilities
- Reviewing, drafting, redlining, and negotiating customer, vendor, and partner agreements while balancing business objectives with legal risk management.
- Managing the commercial contract lifecycle, including intake, triage, workflow tracking, and resolution of legal requests.
- Partnering with sales, finance, information security, and executive stakeholders to ensure contracts meet compliance and operational requirements.
- Managing legal intake processes through Salesforce and contract lifecycle management systems to improve visibility and efficiency.
- Auditing existing contract workflows and identifying bottlenecks that impact business execution.
- Developing playbooks, processes, and frameworks that improve consistency across commercial agreements.
- Supporting the transition of routine contract reviews away from senior leadership so the legal team can focus on strategic initiatives.
- Providing clear, business-focused legal guidance and communicating recommendations effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Building scalable commercial operations and contract infrastructure that can support continued organizational growth.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including software agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership frameworks.
- Experience managing contracts within a corporate legal environment, with the ability to balance legal protections and business priorities.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, contract lifecycle management platforms, or similar legal operations tools.
- Strong understanding of contract workflows and experience improving legal processes through automation or technology.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for business audiences.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with sales, finance, security, leadership teams, and external partners.
- A practical, solution-oriented mindset with strong ownership and follow-through.
- Legal education background such as a Juris Doctor (J.D.), LL.M., or equivalent experience through advanced corporate legal or paralegal work.
- Experience using legal automation tools to improve contract efficiency and reduce agreement turnaround times is a strong advantage.
