Commercial/Ag Loan Officer

About the role

This strong $1.5 billion bank holding company is preparing for several upcoming retirements, with one at year-end and a few more expected over the next one to two years. They are seeking a lender that can step in as either a Commercial Loan Officer, an Ag Loan Officer, or a blend of both.

The right person will appreciate the bank’s bureaucracy-free environment, timely credit decision-making process, and strong commitment to taking care of customers. This is a relationship-driven role where the incoming lender will inherit a portion of a portfolio and is expected to actively grow it.

Responsibilities

• Inherit a portion of a portfolio and actively grow it
• Step into a role as either a Commercial Loan Officer, an Ag Loan Officer, or a blend of both
• Work within a bureaucracy-free environment
• Participate in timely credit decision-making processes
• Take care of customers through a relationship-driven approach

Requirements

• Strong commercial and/or agricultural lending experience
• Ability to make timely credit decisions
• Experience working in a relationship-driven environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
• Professional certifications in lending or banking preferred

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
