Commercial Accounts Marketing Specialist
About the Role
This position will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with commercial electric and broadband Members. This position provides single-contact resolution in service initiation, ongoing account review, management and maintenance and responds to the more difficult technical inquiries related to the cooperative's services. The position will develop, promote, and implement efficient electric, energy solutions, and broadband programs, and support Trico's Economic Development, Business Communications, Member Services, and Energy Solutions teams. This position is expected to exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative in the performance of daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage strong relationships with commercial Members, serving as a trusted point of contact for electrical service, rates, usage, and business needs
- Resolve member concerns and account issues by collaborating across departments and delivering solutions aligned with Trico's values
- Manage commercial accounts, including billing, rate analysis, payment arrangements, and delinquency resolution
- Coordinate commercial service requests such as new connections, disconnects, meter changes, and account updates
- Promote and educate Members on energy efficiency, renewable programs, broadband services, and other Cooperative offerings
- Support business growth and community engagement through site visits, events, and identifying opportunities to improve processes through technology and innovation
- Coordinates and administers well matters, agreements, new accounts deposits, rate assignments, and rate reviews, utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools to manage work processes & automation
- Seeks opportunities to highlight commercial members and their success stories through newsletters, social media, and other means of communication; utilizing marketing where appropriate
- Actively represents the Cooperative at promotional events, trade shows, conventions, and by participation in community and business organizations
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Communications, Marketing, Finance, or related field required with 2 years of related experience
- An equivalent combination of education and job-related experience may substitute for the educational requirements
- General knowledge of electric utility and/or broadband industries
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification
