About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated outside sales executive to join our dynamic team at SmartSense by Digi and Jolt. Our mission is to transform how organizations maintain compliance, enhance safety, and reimagine operations using the Internet of Things (IoT).
Responsibilities
- Win new mid-market and enterprise customers within the Food Service vertical.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and industry events.
- Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through negotiation and close.
- Create and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth.
- Persistently partner with internal teams to support customer engagements and sales opportunities.
- Meet or exceed annual sales quotas and pipeline targets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct technology sales experience.
- 2+ years selling into enterprise customers in the Food Service industry.
- Experience selling SaaS, IoT, or hardware-enabled solutions in complex buying environments.
- A strong consultative sales approach and relationship-building skills.
- A proven track record of pipeline development and closing enterprise deals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
- Desired but not required: Experience selling IoT or operational technology solutions.
- Familiarity with grocery, convenience store, or restaurant operations.

Pay
The anticipated pay range for this position is $160,000 – $250,000, which includes base salary + commission target. Pay ranges are determined by role, job level, and primary job location.
Schedule
Up to 50% domestic travel. Upper Midwest and Canada.
