What You Will Do
- Promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory.
- Leverage relationships and close new business for Johnson Controls Security and ensure customer retention.
- Tell the Johnson Controls Security story and demonstrate leadership as the leading electronic security provider.
- Sell additional products and services to existing accounts.
- Sell add-ons, amendments, and conversions to existing customer systems.
- Renew existing customer agreements.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with existing customers.
- Develop and implement call plans and customer follow-up strategies.
- Follow up with prospects and conduct post-installation follow-up.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Johnson Controls Security's product line and services.
How You Will Do It
- Adhere to Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, products, programs, and services.
- Create new market share by selling Johnson Controls Security products and services to new local commercial customers.
- Work independently to establish call plans and customer follow-up strategies.
- Conduct post-installation follow-up to ensure commitments are met and customer satisfaction is affirmed.
- Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence.
- Process work orders and paperwork in accordance with approved procedures.
- Stay updated on Johnson Controls Security's product line and customers' issues and needs through in-house training and research.
Required
- High school degree or equivalent required.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior level executives.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a successful commercial sales representative in the security, IT, or other technology sales industry.
Preferred
- College degree preferred.
Salary Range
Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $55,800-$83,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
