Comm Hlth Outreach Worker I 'REPOST' FULL-TIME CONTRACTUAL

Location: MDH, Allegany County Health Department, Cumberland, MD

About the role

This full-time contractual position provides direct care and supervision of patients in treatment at the Joseph S. Massie Unit/Allegany House. Patient safety is a priority. This position will provide crisis intervention as needed. The shift is overnight from 12:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Candidates may substitute experience providing assistance to individuals in a health care or social services setting on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
• Employees assigned duties requiring the operation of a motor vehicle must possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

Benefits

• Eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage (medical and prescription) for themselves and dependents if working 30+ hours per week (or on average 130 hours per month). The employee pays 25% of the premiums; the State subsidizes the remaining 75%.

• Leave accrual at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
