Responsibilities

• Orders and reviews appraisals and evaluations used for commercial real estate lending
• Provides appraisal and consulting services to all lines of business and transaction-specific professional guidance
• Scopes requests for services, bids, and executes award processes
• Manages external suppliers and appraisal review processes
• May provide client team training, manage procurement or review teams, and/or manage external reviewers
• Evaluates valuation requests for policy/regulatory compliance
• Selects prequalified vendors and distributes Request for Proposals (RFPs)
• Executes award processes and monitors vendor performance
• Reviews reports for contract compliance and grades performance
• Performs quality assurance reviews
• Preprocesses and validates invoices
• Resolves first-level business and vendor disputes (e.g., vendor selection, utilization frequency, invoicing, etc.)

Requirements

• Active State-Certified General Real Estate Appraisal Credential
• 5+ years commercial real estate appraisal experience
• Intermediate proficiency in the use of Argus and/or Rockport Val, Microsoft Excel
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word
• An in-depth working knowledge of valuation theory and methodology for commercial and residential appraisals
• Able to write concise technical opinions in language comprehensible to both experts and laypeople
• Able to work independently in a remote setting
• Commercial appraisal review experience for federally-regulated banking institutions or equivalent
• Able to adapt to new technologies and changes in recognized valuation methods and techniques

Desired Skills

• 2+ years commercial appraisal review experience for federally regulated banking institutions or equivalent
• MAI designation
• Bachelor’s degree (financial degree or equivalent)
