Combination Welder- Austin Industrial (Artesia, New Mexico)

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment including plasma and air arc cutting machines
• Lay out and fabricate piping systems
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet project goals
• Weld pipe fixed at a 45-degree angle working in all positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience – 5 years of Journeyman level experience
• Welders Must pass mechanical testing as part of the qualification process
• Must pass TIG 6G weld test
• Ability to handle complex, multi-position welds
• Ability to work in a physically demanding fast paced work environment
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights over 100 feet

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must Pass Tig 6G Weld Test
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass background, comprehensive physical, including a drug screen and safety training
• Meet physical demands as listed above
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location
• Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment
