Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• U.S. citizen (birth or naturalized) or current immigration status that permits full-time employment in the United States
• Valid Social Security Card
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Current Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Insurance
• High School Diploma or GED Certificate
• Certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) as a Fire Fighter Basic or above
• Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic or above with Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS)
• Pass a Written Exam, Physical Agility and Swim Test
• Pass a Pre-Employment Medical Physical with Drug Screen and Background Check
