About the role

HoneyBaked is hiring for part-time, seasonal, or new gig opportunities. Schedules are designed to fit students, teachers, retirees, and anyone needing to work around school, family, or other commitments. Stores are open Monday-Saturday from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with Sunday closures.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in answering phones, catering, in-store lunch, and retail ham and turkey customers.
  • Provide excellent service in a friendly and polite manner.
  • Assist with food preparation, including lunch, catering, and retail ham and turkey.
  • Demonstrate superior product knowledge and effectively communicate product features and benefits.
  • Drive add-on sales through suggestion selling.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards.
  • Take initiative and remain productive throughout the shift, taking responsibility for activities within their control.
  • Follow all processes and procedures, complying with company standards in service, food preparation, and control.
  • Adhere to safety, security, and respectful workplace policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior customer service or food preparation experience preferred.
  • Experience as a cook, cashier, crew member, sales associate, or store associate is a big plus!

Qualifications

  • Physical dexterity and mobility to perform the demands of the job, including working with hot torches.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand for long periods, twist, and lift products and supplies.
  • Ham production associates may be required to lift up to 65 pounds.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Product knowledge and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to multitask and take initiative.

Pay

Year-round associate pay ranges from the state minimum wage to $16 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Schedules are truly flexible, with stores closed on Sundays.
