Color Guard Director

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and engaging color guard drill that aligns with performance themes and enhances overall show quality.
• Lead rehearsals to teach choreography, flag work, dance techniques, and coordination skills with enthusiasm and clarity.
• Mentor students in their artistic growth, encouraging confidence, discipline, and teamwork.
• Collaborate with band directors to synchronize visual effects with musical arrangements.
• Organize team practices, competitions, and maintain a motivating atmosphere.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their dancing, ballet movements, cheerleading stunts, and theater expressions.

Skills

• Strong background in color/winter guard, dancing and performing arts to inspire versatile routines.
• Proven experience working with students of diverse ages and skill levels in a teaching or coaching capacity.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly demonstrate techniques and motivate performers.
• Passion for arts education combined with a lively, energetic approach that encourages creativity and teamwork.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to dance movements and stunt work to ensure student well-being.
• Enthusiasm for fostering a positive environment where students feel inspired to excel in their craft.
