About the role
As the Color Consultant, you will provide an in-home and online color consultancy service that adheres to Farrow & Ball standards while meeting customer needs. This role blends Color Consultancy with showroom duties, ensuring an excellent customer experience and confidence in using Farrow & Ball products.
Responsibilities
- Proactively sell the color consultancy service and Farrow & Ball products.
- Manage the end-to-end customer journey, including pre- and post-visit follow-up, consultancy orders, and query resolution.
- Visit clients' homes, businesses, and commercial spaces to advise on and develop tailored color schemes (paint and wallpaper).
- Lead a seamless client experience while maintaining professionalism.
- Produce detailed specifications, including chosen colors, wallpaper, quantities, finishes, third-party products, and costings.
- Communicate Farrow & Ball’s unique value proposition to reinforce its premium positioning.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to achieving monthly KPI targets.
- Deliver Virtual Colour Consultancy services via an online platform, maintaining high standards for remote consultations.
- Adapt processes to support virtual consultancy services effectively.
- Fulfill Showroom Assistant duties, with a focus on promoting the Color Consultant service and closing sales.
- Train and coach new team members on interior design principles and consultancy sales.
- Assist in local marketing initiatives and events, such as "Meet the Expert" sessions and promotional campaigns.
Requirements
- Strong sales acumen, with the ability to close sales, cross-sell, and upsell while identifying growth opportunities.
- Interior design knowledge and experience, including trend awareness across print, online, and social media.
- Product expertise and technical knowledge, including understanding structures, lighting, substrates, and spatial awareness.
- Ability to match and articulate color schemes to a client’s brief, property, or desired aesthetic.
- Understanding of different property types, periods, locations, and architectural styles.
- Knowledge of color psychology and its application to Farrow & Ball color schemes.
- IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel essential), iPad, CRM, sales systems, and internal Farrow & Ball systems.
