About the role
The Collision Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical repairs and inspections on vehicles involved in collision repairs, ensuring that all work is completed safely, accurately, and according to manufacturer specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collision repair environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain components on collision-damaged vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles for hidden mechanical damage and identify additional repairs needed.
- Remove, replace, and reinstall mechanical components as required for collision repairs.
- Perform diagnostic testing using scan tools and other automotive equipment.
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality and safety standards.
- Document completed repairs and communicate additional repair needs to the Body Shop Manager or appropriate team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while completing repairs efficiently and accurately.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional automotive technician experience; collision/body shop experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
- ASE or I-CAR certifications are preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.

Pay
$30.00 to $40.00 per flat rate hourly, based on experience and certifications.
Schedule
- Full Time
- Monday through Friday availability
