College Station 03 (Wellborn Rd) Grocery - Overnight Stocker - Part time

About the role

As a Night Stocker, you'll join a dynamic team in the Grocery or Drug Store department, fostering teamwork, and embracing the nightlife of the store. You'll gain valuable experience across various departments, setting the stage for potential career growth at H-E-B.

Responsibilities

• Stocks shelves and refills displays
• Lifts, unloads, and moves heavy, bulky products; unloads trucks
• Conditions shelves and products
• Learns and applies product knowledge to meet A+ Standards
• Keeps the department clean and organized
• Enforces compliance with SOPs and leader direction
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and company regulations for product food safety and sanitation
• Works efficiently and collaboratively with a team attitude
• Takes constructive feedback and applies it to future tasks
• May coach or train other Stockers
• Operates with a team mindset, cross-functionally within the Store, and builds relationships across departments
• Models customer service and hospitality, assisting customers and addressing their needs

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Age Requirement: 18+
• Work Experience: Experience stocking and in customer service (preferred); experience working in a physically demanding job a plus
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Understanding of SOPs, communication skills, organization and time management, customer service skills, ability to perform repetitive tasks, thinking on one's feet, working as part of a team, managing multiple priorities, attention to detail, applying personal discipline, working overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays

Education

• Forklift / power jack training provided upon hire

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Work in a fast-paced, demanding Store environment, paying close attention to detail
• Perform tasks based on department: Grocery, Drugstore, Dairy, Frozen, General Merchandise
• Exposure to cold, loud noise, ambient temperatures, and wet conditions
• Lift up to 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 100 lbs for Grocery, 66 lbs for Drugstore, 86 lbs for Dairy, 60 lbs for Frozen, and 60 lbs for General Merchandise
