College Prep Algebra Teacher - TCALC 2026-2027
About the role
The College Prep Algebra Teacher at Topeka Public Schools will participate in lesson design, formative assessment development, professional development, and overall department planning. Duties include lesson planning, assisting in the selection and approval of instructional materials, supplies and equipment, student instruction, maintaining accurate records, supervising students in common areas of the building, communicating effectively with administrators, parents, and staff, assisting with school events, and supporting the mission of Topeka Public Schools.

Requirements
- Current Kansas teaching license and certification to teach Math in the secondary 6-12 range
- Good communication, consultation, and team building skills
Qualifications
- Meet Kansas State Department of Education certification requirements for teaching Math
- Good communication, consultation, and team building skills are also important
Physical/Emotional Requirements
- The incumbent may be required to use the following skills and abilities during any part of the working day: speaking, hearing, visual, reading, writing, word processing, mobility, consistency of temperament, ability to work with a variety of problems at the same time, stamina for working long hours and in stress-producing environments
