About the role

Teach Residential English courses in the Department of English. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching. Teaching assignments include general education courses in English and Writing.

Responsibilities

• Love of teaching
• Effective communication in written and oral formats
• Knowledge of pedagogical best practices
• Ability to use current teaching technology (LMS, e-textbooks, etc.)
• Commitment to the evangelical standards and mission of Liberty University

Requirements

• MA in English, or 18 graduate hours in discipline
• PHD in English preferred
• MFA in Creative Writing preferred
• Credentials to teach TESOL preferred

• Advanced computer skills
• Ability to understand, speak, and write English
• Ability to record attendance and grades in Canvas
• Ability to manage and allocate teaching resources
• Strict adherence to Liberty University policies
• Exemplary representation of the University
