College Intern

About the role

As an intern in our office you will perform hands-on work to apply your classroom experience to real-world projects and help you envision your future career. You’ll be an active member of our team, working for our clients on projects with our most experienced engineers. You’ll be introduced to Wilson & Company’s culture, helping you evaluate our firm as a future career choice. You will solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate with partners to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on work applying classroom experience to real‑world transportation engineering projects.
• Work as an active team member on client projects alongside experienced engineers.
• Solve complex problems and assist project managers.
• Collaborate with partners to deliver clients’ visions for the built environment.

Skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team under direct supervision of a Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Currently a Civil Engineering student with an interest in Transportation Engineering (highway, municipal roadway, traffic).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Requirements

• Ability to commute to/from school to the Salina, KS office and work in an office environment (no remote work anticipated).
• Capacity to manage and maintain a sustainable balance between school, internship, and personal demands.

Pay

Hourly earnings: $22.00 – $24.00
