College Intern

Owego Apalachin Central School District is offering a summer internship for current college students to gain hands-on professional experience by working alongside district staff in various summer programs and initiatives.

About the role

• Internship program runs from July 13, 2026 to August 14, 2026
• Scheduled hours: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–3:00 PM
• Available departments:
  • Hawk's Nest Summer Learning Camp (Education, Pediatric Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Sports Management)
  • Music Education
  • Building and Grounds

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary by department but may include:

• Assisting with program operations
• Supporting staff with daily tasks
• Working with students or community members
• Contributing to projects within the assigned department

Interns in Hawk's Nest Summer Learning Camp will specifically:

• Assist with student supervision
• Support academic centers and enrichment activities
• Help facilitate daily operations of the summer learning program

Requirements

• Current college student who has completed at least one semester of college coursework
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Interest in gaining experience related to the selected internship area

Application Requirements

• Current unofficial college transcript that includes your major
• One letter of recommendation from a college professor or advisor
• College coursework/major matches the area in which you are applying

Salary follows the OACSD summer enrichment schedule.
