About the Role
The Department of Biology at New Mexico State University invites applications for a college-track Assistant Professor position, beginning August 2027. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty role located on the Las Cruces campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in lower division biology, genetics, and microbiology, as well as within your area of expertise.
- Advise undergraduate students on degree plans, academic progress, and career pathways.
- Serve on departmental and college committees.
- Assist in the development of new undergraduate educational and research initiatives.
Requirements
- PhD in Biology or a related life science field.
- Minimum of 1 year of college-level teaching experience.
- Experience in the development and/or implementation of innovative teaching methods and materials.

Working Conditions
