Collective Staff Trainer (MET) (MEL4)

Job Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience
• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science required
• Required Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge and ability to train individuals in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and command post operations.
• Experience in operations, planning, and training requirements at a battalion and higher level (Division or Corps).
• Thorough understanding of Sustainment and C2 and their inter-dependencies with the other warfighting functions.
• Successfully served as a former battalion S3, XO, or SPO in a Sustainment unit.

Preferred Skills

• Serve in any of the following positions: Sustainment Battalion Commander; Combat Training Center (CTC) Observer/Controller; Small Group Instructor; SAMS or lead planner; Primary or deputy general staff officer.
• Possesses outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to correspond and communicate with senior military leaders.
• OIF/OND/OEF experience.
• Working knowledge of scenario development.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Apply a high level of technical and industry experience in your specialized skill set or warfighting function.

Regularly update knowledge on training methodology and technology trends.

Drive: Gather observations based on unit actions during the training event and provide input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).

Maintain a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs.

Utilize: Act as a mentor or observer/trainer as required to support team and trainee development.
