Collections Specialist (Late Shift)

About the role

At OneMain, Collections Specialists work collaboratively with customers to provide consultative solutions for loan repayment, improving financial outlook. The fast‑paced environment focuses on customers with existing OneMain relationships, servicing and collecting personal loans or credit cards. Specialists use effective communication via digital channels such as web chat, text, and phone, and work on‑site in West Valley City, UT.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with all financial servicing needs through inbound and outbound contact.
• Listen to customers’ specific situations and help determine how they can best utilize company products and services.
• Work both cooperatively and independently in a goal‑oriented environment to meet personal and team targets while balancing multiple tasks.
• Negotiate with customers to resolve account matters, following all applicable laws, policies, and procedures including compliance with the FDCPA and state regulations.
• Maintain and document appropriate information on customer and account status.
• Collaborate in person and virtually using available technology to connect with other internal teams.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in utilizing multiple tools/systems simultaneously.
• Skilled at achieving and exceeding goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in customer service, collections, or call center environments.
• Bilingual: Spanish.

Schedule

• Shift: Monday‑Friday, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
• Rotating Saturday every 6‑8 weeks.
