Collections Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain regular reports related to delinquent accounts.
• Capture and monitor repossession cases, ensuring timely updates and proper documentation.
• Manage collection-related administrative tasks, including invoice handling, record filing, and payment processing.
• Organize and archive account documentation in compliance with internal requirements.
• File insurance claims and track their status, ensuring all necessary information is complete and accurate.
• Review account records for accuracy and update collection files to reflect current activity and next steps.
• Support day-to-day recovery operations by following established collection processes and responding to assigned tasks promptly.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in consumer collections, credit collections, or a related accounts recovery role.
• Working knowledge of collection procedures, billing collections, and account resolution practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with reports, spreadsheets, and tracking tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation, invoices, and multiple account activities accurately.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain professionalism when coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
• A high attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes in a regulated environment.
