Collections Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize collections efforts.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of customer interactions, resolution actions, and follow-up activities.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and usage discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
  • Utilize Salesforce to access and review customer contracts, ensuring accurate understanding of billing terms and conditions.
  • Access NetSuite to retrieve and analyze invoice data, ensuring that all billed amounts are correct and align with contract terms.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support team, department, and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle sensitive customer interactions and articulate complex information clearly.
  • High level of organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem resolution.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with financial software such as Salesforce and NetSuite.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model (4 days in office, 1 day work from home) for Illinois residents, or remote for others.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay

The budgeted annual salary range for this role is $51,000 to $60,000. Compensation for this role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown.

Schedule

This role follows a hybrid model (4 days in office, 1 day work from home) for candidates residing in Illinois. Candidates based outside of Illinois may be considered for a remote work arrangement.
