About the role
The Southeastern Museums Conference is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for managing the organization's marketing efforts, including social media management, event promotion, and content creation.Responsibilities
- Manage social media accounts for the organization, including content creation and scheduling.
- Promote events and initiatives through various channels such as email newsletters, press releases, and online advertising.
- Create engaging content for the organization’s website and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all marketing materials.
- Assist in organizing and promoting regional museum conferences and workshops.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with event planning and promotion.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and how to optimize content for search engines.
