Western Kentucky University is seeking a Human Resources professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our institution.
About the role
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, assist in recruitment and hiring processes, manage employee records, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence related to HR matters
- Support the recruitment process including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers
- Manage employee files and maintain accurate records
- Administer benefits programs and handle related inquiries
- Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in human resources or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Pay
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
