Collection Manager
About the Role
Zwicker & Associates, P.C. is presently seeking a Collection Manager to join our team in Tempe, AZ. We are seeking a candidate with exemplary leadership, communication, organizational, and litigation skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, proven to be a successful motivator of people and manager of processes. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a self-starter, detail-oriented, and driven to perform.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the designated collection team: Train, assign schedules, manage time-off requests, monitor performance, and ensure that team and individual goals are met.
- Create procedures to ensure goals are met; this goal may be set by the client or Senior management.
- Comply with policies and procedures of Zwicker & Associates, P.C.
- Comply with FDCPA
- Comply with state consumer protection laws
- Provide regular updates on collection metrics, trends, and team performance.
- Responsible for tracking all payments and notifying financial operations upon identifying any posting issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in call center management, preferred
- Minimum three years of experience in consumer collections, preferably third-party
- Knowledge of the FDCPA and State Consumer Protection Laws
- Must be able to perform all collection duties
- Ability to work professionally and courteously with consumers, coworkers, and clients
- Effective decision-making skills
- Excellent coaching/mentoring skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
- Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
- Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
- Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence
Physical Qualifications
- Be able to lift five pounds or greater
- Be able to sit 90% of the workday at times
- Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
- Be able to concentrate and use critical thinking
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 per year, plus applicable bonus.
