About the Role

This position serves Republic Business Credit, a subsidiary of Renasant Bank. The Collateral Analyst ensures that RBC’s management of collateral and account debtors complies with the Credit Policy and operating and approval conditions as set out in the Client Credit Committee Approval (CCCA) document (or as amended by subsequent client reviews) – collectively “Credit Standards.”

Responsibilities

  • Review schedules and support documentation in full or on a sampling basis (as defined by Client operating conditions) for compliance with Credit Standards.
  • Ensure supporting documentation (invoices, PODs, POs, shipping information, contracts) are in place for the schedule.
  • Ensure the schedule is appropriately completed and signed by an authorized signatory.
  • Undertake pre-funding verification of schedules as per Client operating conditions, ensuring recordings and detailed notes are maintained in Cadence and saved on the network.
  • Conduct post-funding verification calls in line with Client operating conditions, ensuring recordings and detailed notes are maintained in Cadence and saved on the network.
  • Use verification and collection queues in Cadence and adhere to callback dates.
  • Ensure verification levels within assigned clients (and team-assigned clients where support is needed) meet client-level and portfolio targets.
  • Verify and establish relationships with new account debtors in line with the Debtor Review process.
  • Confirm contact details by third-party means and ensure notification letters have been sent and recorded.
  • Ensure details, including approved debtor limits, are included in the Cadence system and follow the Debtor review process.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with account debtors regarding payment remittance direction, verification, and payment status of client accounts.
  • Work closely with the client-assigned Relationship Manager and Portfolio Manager to communicate issues and trends on client facilities.
  • Proactively track collateral and identify trends that indicate a need for attention to verifications and/or collections on accounts within the assigned portfolio.
  • Support cash collections allocations as required.
  • Assist the operations team with record-keeping for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One year of relevant business-related experience in Banking, Accounting, and/or Finance.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving team environment.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize and manage a high volume of collection and verification calls.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
