Collaborating Psychiatrist for PMHNP

About the role

A collaborative psychiatrist is needed to work closely with a PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) to provide comprehensive mental health care services.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMHNP to develop and implement treatment plans
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and prescribe medications as necessary
• Provide psychotherapy sessions as part of the treatment plan
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in electronic health records

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in psychiatry
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in psychiatry
• Current license to practice medicine in state

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficient in electronic health record systems
• Knowledgeable in pharmacology and psychopharmacology
