Responsibilities

  • Serve as the designated collaborating or supervising physician for one or more Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants.
  • Review patient charts and clinical documentation timely to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain collaboration agreements and ensure all required documentation is accurate and up to date per state regulations.
  • Participate in periodic meetings or case reviews with NPs/PAs to discuss clinical performance, care standards, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay informed of state-specific scope of practice laws and ensure compliance.
  • Support the organization in maintaining a high standard of patient care through quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Current, active license in the state of practice (MD/DO).
  • Active practice in the state.
  • 3+ years of clinical experience post-residency.
  • Primary specialty in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
  • Board Certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.
  • Currently not enrolled in the Medicare Opt-Out program.
