Key responsibilities

  • Participate in maintaining accounting records and client dossier preparation
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and follow up on various accounts
  • Prepare annual accounts and financial statements
  • Prepare tax calculations and complete tax declarations
  • Prepare VAT and TDS declarations
  • Prepare PAYE, CSG, NSF, Levy, and PRGF declarations
  • Ensure administrative file management and respond to client inquiries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Experience: 1-3 years for junior level, 3-5 years for middle level

Description

LCSS is the affiliated accounting firm to Legis and Partners Ltd. The team assists local and international clients with their accounting, tax, financial, and administrative matters. Daily tasks will involve working on various types of cases such as SMEs, large corporations, domestic companies, partnerships, and individuals primarily based in Mauritius, the UK, and France.

  • Comply with accounting, tax, and social security deadlines
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and promptly with clients
  • Gain gradually in autonomy over your client portfolio
  • Contribute to the satisfaction and loyalty of clients
  • Actively contribute to the firm's development

Profile

  • Currently studying ACCA at level 2, minimum 3-4 years of accounting experience
  • Good knowledge of Mauritian accounting and tax environment
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Rigorous, organized, and team-oriented
  • Experience in a firm, audit, or tax role is an advantage
  • An interest in IT tools is also appreciated
  • Easy communication with clients and colleagues
